henrik ibsen

hey its kayla what i like about english class is when we read books that i can relate to the real world. I feel like it can help me maybe in  the future as a guide or something that can make me learn my lesson or prevent me from getting into a bad situation.

                Henrik Ibsen was born on March 20,1828 and died on May 23, 1906. He was a major 19th Century Norwgion playwright threatre director and poet. He is the most frequent performed dramatist in the world after Shakespeare. A Dolls House became the worlds most performed play by the early20th century. Ibsen is often ranked as one of the most distinguished playwright in the European tradition. He was born into a merchant family and connected to the patriciate of skien his dramas were shaped by his family background.

After fifteen, Ibsen was forced to leave school. He moved to the small town of Grimstad to become an apprentice pharmacist and began writing plays. In 1846, when Ibsen was age 18, a liaison with a servant produced an illegitimate child, whose upbringing Ibsen had to pay for until the boy was a teenager. His first play, the tragedy of Catilina was published under the Brynjolf Bjarmi when he was 22 yrs old, but was not performed, In his youth, Wergeland was the most accalimed and by for that the most read Norweign poet and playwrighter. Later in his career, Ibsen turned to a more intropective drama that had much less to do with deunciations of societies moral values.
